RECIPE FOR CHICKPEAS

Preparation:

- Peel and chop the vegetables.

- Put a little olive oil in the pressure cooker and sauté the vegetables.

- Add the chickpeas, salt, pepper, and spices to taste.

- Add water until everything is covered.

- Cover the pot and let it cook on low heat (once the pressure is on) for at least one hour.

I love legumes. They are an excellent source of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats. I like all kinds of legumes, and I alternate them during the week: lentils, chickpeas, beans are never missing in my diet. They are also an almost essential food for vegan and vegetarian diets because of their high protein content.

Here I put the recipe for chickpeas as I usually do. To cook them I use a pressure cooker. You can also do it in a normal pot, but you will need more time for cooking.

I soak the chickpeas with water and a little salt the night before.

Ingredients:

- Chickpeas

- Onion

- Carrot

- Sweet potato

- and the vegetable that you like

- olive oil

- Salt

- Pepper

- spices to taste (paprika, cumin, fennel, etc).
